koreabnbs.com is Alo’s website (Daily Dose of Korean), run for him by Sound Thought LLC, a Texas limited liability company. “We” and “us” mean Sound Thought LLC and Alo; “you” means anyone using the site. By using the site you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the site.
Bookings are made on other platforms
We are a guide, not a travel agency, booking site or host. We don’t own or manage any stay on this site, and we don’t take bookings, payments or deposits.
When you tap a booking button, you leave our site for Airbnb, Stayfolio, Booking.com or Agoda. The booking platform’s terms say who your contract is with and what the platform’s role is. Their terms, prices, fees, taxes, cancellation and refund policies, house rules and customer service apply. Prices and availability are set and confirmed only there; please check them, and the listing details, before you pay.
Questions or problems with a booking or a stay go to the platform or host you booked with. We can’t change, cancel or refund a booking.
How this site earns: affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. Today these are the Booking.com and Agoda buttons, which run through Travelpayouts. If you book through one of them, the booking site may pay us a commission. You pay nothing extra for using these links; prices and offers are set by the booking site.
The Airbnb and Stayfolio buttons are ordinary links and earn us nothing. If that changes, we’ll update this section.
Some hosts work with Alo: they may host his stay or pay him to film it. Commissions and collaborations never decide what Alo says about a place, and no host or platform pays to be listed on this site.
Our photos and details
- Stay photos are real. They are frames from Alo’s own videos of each stay. Places change; the listing on the booking site has the host’s current photos, so please look at them before you book.
- Facts such as guests, rooms, walking times and features come from Alo’s visit and each stay’s public listing. Listings change; the booking site is always the final word.
- Korea this month and the first-timer checklist are general tips from someone who lives here, not official advice. Check weather, entry rules and transport with official sources before you travel.
- Free guides and other links open Gumroad, Notion, Buy Me a Coffee and selectbnbs.com, each with its own terms.
Using the site
Use the site for planning your own trips. Please don’t misuse it: no attempts to break or overload it, and no copying it in bulk to republish. Reading pages with search engines, AI assistants and other crawlers is welcome.
Our content
Alo’s videos, photos and words belong to Alo. The site’s design and code belong to Sound Thought LLC or its licensors. Please don’t reuse our content without written permission, except to share a link or a short quote with credit.
Disclaimers and liability
We work to keep the site accurate, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not responsible for the stays, hosts, platforms or other sites we link to, or for anything that happens on a trip.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, and our total liability to you for any claim about the site is limited to US$100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. Otherwise, disputes go to the state or federal courts in Texas, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
